Yoga and Writing Workshop with Flb and Sarah Herrington
Saturday, July 23
1-4 Culver City
In this workshop we’ll use mindfulness and yoga tools such as breath awareness, movement, and meditation to drop into and hear the narratives our bodies hold. We will alternate yoga practices with in-class writing exercis- es, learning how the present moment can be a source of inspiration, learning how to trust our voices. Participants will leave with new writing and tools to deeply inhabit the body more creativity. This workshop is great for both beginning and experienced writers and no yoga experience is necessary.
Sarah Herrington's writing has appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Poets and Writers Magazine, Tin House, Interview Magazine, Slice, San Francisco Chronicle, Writer’s Digest and she was named a Poet to Watch by Oprah Magazine. In addition to writing, she is an advocate for mindfulness and creativity and is the founder and lead facilitator of OM Schooled Teacher Trainings. She teaches creative writing workshops online through The Eckleburg Workshops and works for the country's first Master of Arts in Yoga Studies at LMU in Los Angeles. She divides her time between New York and California.
